In the late eighties when I first visited London, I tried to meet Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens). I contacted his secretary to get an appointment. She said I could meet Mr. Yusuf at Regent’s Park Mosque on Sundays after the Asr prayer. So I visited the Regent’s Park Mosque and found Yusuf Islam surrounded by a group of people. In March 2015, I visited Abu Dhabi along with my father Maulana Wahiduddin Khan and other members of CPS International to attend a peace conference organized by the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies.
Here for the first time I met Sheikh Hamza Yusuf. When I introduced myself to him and presented him a copy of one of my books, Goodnight Stories from the Quran, he smilingly said, “I read your books to my children!”

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan and members of Centre for Peace and Spirituality (CPS) were on a two-week visit to the United States from August 26 to September 8, 2015. The Maulana had been invited by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) for felicitation for his work on Islam.
